In the first dual match of the season, the University of Chicago women's tennis teams got off on a good foot with a victory at Chicago State University on Sunday.

The Maroon women started the day with a 5-2 team victory. Doubles went UChicago's way handily as all three tandems came through by scores of 6-3, 6-3 and 6-1 to seize the doubles point. In the singles action that followed, the Maroons took four out of six with wins at the No. 1, 2, 4 and 5 spots. Multiple winners on the day included sophomore Ariana Iranpour, freshman Rachel Kim, freshman Kaela Bynoe and senior Stephanie Lee.
