Four Double Winners as Rochester Defeats RIT 8-1

Christine Ho moved into a tie for 17th in career singles and doubles wins as Rochester defeated RIT, 8-1, at the Gordon Field House on Tuesday afternoon.
 
She was one of four double winners for the Yellowjackets. Rochester won the first and second doubles and all six singles matches. It was the fourth win for Rochester in the last five matches and boosted the Yellowjacket record to 6-6. RIT is 4-10. Rochester is ranked #17 regionally.
 
Ho and Camila Garcia combined to defeat Amelia Ying and Gianna Heaviland, 8-2, at first doubles. Ho defeated Ying, 5-7, 6-4, 10-5, at first singles. The two victories give her 79 wins – 40 in singles and 39 in doubles. She is tied with Alexa Perry for 17th place in combined victories. She is 19th all-time in singles wins.
 
Zickar reached the 48-win plateau with the two victories. She combined with Wolkoff to defeat Kelsie Redburn and Marie Jubert, 8-0, at second doubles. In singles, she beat Brianna Dimisko in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3.
 
Garcia was a 6-0, 6-1 winner over Heaviland at #2 singles. Wolkoff topped Jubert, 7-5, 6-1 at #3. Darby McCall won, 6-2, 6-0 at #5 and Grace DiGiovanni won, 8-6, against Alyssa Hering, 8-6.
 
Rochester won the first two doubles matches. RIT's team point came from Dimisko and Hering, 8-4 winners over McCall and DiGiovanni at third doubles.
 
The singles wins, in order, came from Garcia, Zickar, Wolkoff (which clinched the team win), McCall, Ho, and DiGiovanni.
