Bridget Harding Reaches Maroon Flight Final as Eagles Continue Play at Elon Fall Invitational

The Emory University Women's Tennis program continued play at the Elon Fall Invitational on Saturday afternoon on the campus of Elon University in Elon, N.C.

Junior Bridget Harding advanced to the finals of the Maroon Flight, the top flight of the tournament, knocking off Richmond's Brittany Boys (6-2, 6-3) and Elon's Erica Braschi (6-3, 6-1). Harding will face Elon's Suzanne Zenoni in the finals on Sunday. Also in the Maroon Flight, senior Michelle Satterfield saw her run end as she was upended by Radford's Drousile Dzeubou in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2.

In the consolation bracket of the Gold Flight, senior Katarina Su and sophomore Daniela Lopez advanced to meet each other in the final on Sunday. Lopez earned a pair of victories on Saturday as she defeated Radford's Camilla Littlewood 6-1, 6-3 before needing three sets to eliminate Appalachian State's Megan Mullen, 5-7, 6-2, 10-5.

Freshman Emma Perelman blanked Liberty's Audrey Brown 6-0, 6-0 for Emory's other victory in singles action on the afternoon, however, she was knocked out of competition in the following round, losing to UNC-Greensboro's Corinne Blythe 6-1, 6-0.

In doubles play, Perelman and senior Michelle DeMeo was the lone Emory pairing to advance to the finals in their respective flight as the duo defeated Lilly Ellick of Radford and Blaine Boaz of UNC-Greensboro, 8-4, to face Richmond's Dessislava Zlateva and Kelsey Williams on Sunday in finals of the Phoenix flight.
