Ida Krause of NYU Women's Tennis Earns CSC Academic All-America Status

From NYU Athletics

New York University graduate student Ida Krause, a member of the Violets' women's tennis team, has received Academic All-America honors from the College Sports Communicators (CSC) -  formerly CoSIDA.

Krause, who became NYU's first-ever individual qualifier for the NCAA Division III Championships, helped lead the Violets to their best season in program history. Playing at first singles throughout the campaign, she posted an overall record of 21-5 and went 8-3 in dual matches.

For the first time in program history, the team qualified for the NCAA Division III Championship following a best-ever third-place finish at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship. Krause, along with sophomore Dakota Fordham, also became the first pair of Violets to qualify for the NCAA individual doubles competition, where they won their first match before falling in the quarterfinal.

For the 2022-23 season, Krause posted a 23-6 doubles record.

After receiving Academic All-District accolades, Krause was voted Third Team All-America based on a vote of CSC members. She was one of 18 student-athletes selected for All-America honors, chosen from a field of 542 All-District honorees.
