Emory Concludes Action at Berry Field Day Invitational

The Emory University Track and Field women's track and field team concluded competition at the Berry Field Day Invitational on Saturday, finishing second.

Senior Gabrielle Stravach registered her second event win of the meet as she finished first in the 800m Run with a time of 2:19.79. Junior Dani Bland added a second place finish in the 100m Dash at 12.28 with classmates Dilys Osei and Kayla O’Shea also turning in individual top-three finishes on the day for the women. Osei took third in the 100m Hurdles in a time of 15.21 and in the 800m Run, O’Shea was third at 2:20.90. In the 4x100m Relay, Bland, Osei, senior Julia Leventhal and freshman Rebekah Bondi posted a season-best time of 48.27, placing second in the event at 48.27.

For the field events, freshman Taylor Robinson was second overall in the javelin throw at 34.42 to lead the Eagles. Emory added a pair of fifth place efforts as classmate Leelah Wilburn recorded a team season-best mark of 37.10m in the discus while sophomore Kaitlyn Iwanowicz posted a mark of 4.99m in the long jump.
