Dilys Osei of Emory Breaks 400-Meter Hurdles Record at Torrin Lawrence Memorial Meet

Junior Dilys Osei highlighted the Emory University Track and Field teams at the Torrin Lawrence Memorial meet at the University of Georgia Saturday afternoon, breaking the school record in the 400m Hurdles.

Osei recorded a time of 1:00.84 to win the event, besting the previous school record of 1:01.78 set by Electra Korn at the 2014 NCAA Division III Championships. With her time on Saturday, Osei moved into third on the Division III leaderboard.

Osei competed in 4x100m Relay as well on Saturday with junior Dani Bland, senior Julia Leventhal and freshman Rebekah Bondi with the group posting a time of 47.78.

Bland added top times for the Eagles in the 100m (12.00) and 200m (24.46) Dashes with her 200m time marking the fastest time of the season for the junior.

Also representing Emory on Saturday was senior Erica Goldman in the 400m Dash (56.03 - season best), junior Paris Wagner in the Hammer (44.75m), freshman Taylor Robinson in the Javelin (34.58m) and Bondi (12.58) and Leventhal (13.28) in the 100m Dash.
