Ade Ayoola's All-American finish in the women's high jump highlighted Day 2 of the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at Roger Harring Stadium.

Ayoola, a senior competing in her third NCAA outdoor national meet, cleared a height of 1.68 meters on her second try to tie for eighth place overall and earn her first All-American honor of her career. The height was also her best of the 2018 outdoor season.

UChicago teammates Alexandra Thompson and Laura Darcey finished 10th and 11th, respectively, both clearing heights of 1.68 meters. Both matched their best jumps of the season.

On the track, junior Nicole VacaGuzman raced to her best time of the year – and re-broke her own school record – with a time of 55.45 seconds in the 400 meter prelims. She placed second in her heat and eighth overall to earn a spot in Saturday's finals.

Thursday, senior Khia Kurtenbach competed in the 10,000 meters but was unable to finish due to extreme temperatures. She'll compete again in Saturday's 5,000 meters race.
