Annika Urban of Emory Named USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week

From Emory University Athletics

Emory University senior Annika Urban was named the NCAA Division III Women's Track National Athlete of the Week by USTFCCCA on Tuesday, April 18.

Urban is just the second Emory student-athlete to be named USTFCCCA Athlete of the Week and the first outdoor track and field athlete to earn the honor.

She continues to shine in her final year at Emory and has gained a large amount of national attention this season as well. At the Bryan Clay Invite at Azusu Pacific University, Urban registered a time of 16:06.95 in the 5,000m run. Her time not only won the event but places her into third all-time in Division III history. According to TFRRS, Urban's time is close to 20 seconds faster than other Division III athletes this season. Her time also broke the previous school record by almost 40 seconds.
