Senior captain Emily Cousens of the New York University women's track and field team was the Violets' sole representative at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships, which were held on Friday and Saturday, March 14-15, at Wesleyan University in Lincoln, NE.
 
Cousens, who owns the NYU team record of 9:41.11 in the 3,000m, competed in that event  on Saturday afternoon.
Facing the top runners in the nation, Cousins struggled and only posted a time of 10:06.38.

She wound up placing 16th in the field of 17.
