Emory University Track and Field Head Coach John
Curtin has announced the hiring of MedaLana Smith as the
team's Assistant Coach for throws, starting with the 2014-15

"I know I speak for all of the athletes and staff when I
say we are thrilled to be adding MedaLana Smith to the Emory Track

experience as well as the coaching knowledge in all the throwing
events. MedaLana will bring leadership and a new direction to
our throws program."
