From University of Chicago Athletics
The University of Chicago women's indoor track & field team earned eight victories at North Central College's Pat Heenan Invitational on Saturday.
UChicago's women topped the 12-team field comfortably with 208 points, doubling the output of runner-up Lewis University.
Anna Kenig-Ziesler led the way in the 5,000 meters, posting the sixth-fastest time in NCAA Division III at 17:02.94. UChicago dominated the middle to long distances, sweeping the 400 meters through the 5,000 meters. Faith Udobong claimed the 400 meters in 59.64, Elisabeth Camic won the 800 meters in 2:15.75, Leah Ulrich secured the one mile in 5:11.25 and Cara Chittenden was first in the 3,000 meters at 10:43.38.
Loren Brown put up a season-best time of 8.90 in her 60-meter hurdles victory. Molly Laumakis topped the field with a top throw of 13.41 meters in the shot put. The 4x400-meter relay crossed the line first in 4:01.01.
