From NYU Athletics
Freshman Brooke Tannahill of the New York
University women's volleyball team was named Eastern College
Athletic Conference (ECAC) Co-Libero of the Week on Wednesday,
October 29.
Tannahill had a career week for the Violets as the rookie took over
the primary libero duties for NYU. She began with a career- and
match-best 23 digs, along with five assists and a service ace vs.
Stevens Institute of Technology in a tough five-set
loss on Wednesday, October 22.
Tannahill followed that up with a match-high 21 digs in
a four-set loss to Richard Stockton College on
Saturday, October 25.
In her final match of the week, Tannahill notched seven digs and a
service ace, taking a break from the primary libero duties in the
Violets straight-set victory over Baruch College.
This is Tannahill's first-career ECAC honor and her second-career
weekly honor after she was named University Athletic Association
(UAA) Defensive Player of the week on Monday, October 27.
