Each team will play two matches on Saturday and one on Sunday in the first Association contests of the season. Case Western Reserve University will host Round Robin II on Oct. 17-18 and University of Rochester will host the UAA Volleyball Championship Nov. 6-7.
In addition to the Bears and defending UAA champion Eagles being ranked in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) National Poll, University of Chiacgo is ranked 16th and Carnegie Mellon University is 21st.
Washington, Emory, and Chicago each earned a trip to the NCAA Division III Volleyball Championship with the Eagles advancing to the national championship match.
All four ranked teams play in the final two matches of the weekend as Emory faces Carnegie Mellon, while Washington and Chicago renew their rivalry. The Tartans took the first two sets off the Eagles in last year's round robin before Emory rallied to take the next three sets. The Maroons handed the Bears their only two UAA defeats last season, once in the round robin and another in the championship semifinals.
