Brandeis Serves as Host of First Volleyball Round Robin Saturday and Sunday

Brandeis University will host the first volleyball round robin on Saturday and Sunday. All eight teams enter the weekend with a winning record and three are nationally ranked.

UAA teams bring a combined 86-31 record (.735 winning percentage) into the round robin.

Emory University is ranked seventh in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top 25, highest among UAA teams. Defending Association champion Washington University is ranked eighth and University of Chicago, which began the season unranked, is now 14th. Carnegie Mellon University is among schools receiving votes.

Each team will play three matches this weekend and finish the round robin schedule Oct. 13-14 at Carnegie Mellon with four more matches. The championship will be held at University of Rochester Nov. 2-3.
