Thoughts from head coach Anne Bock

"The competition we faced this weekend was some of the best in the country. After an unfortunate loss on Friday our team's ability to rebound with a very conclusive win against Berry showed just what this team is made of. Juniata is a tough place to play and the Tartans showed tremendous fight. Laura Reichard was just tremendous hitting .367 with 24 digs. We're already a good defensive team and our serving continues to win games for us. This team will just keep getting better offensively as we get deeper into the season."

Notes

  • Tummala set a new career record in service aces.
  • This is the Tartans second time facing Berry, with the first meeting coming in the second round of the NCAA tournament last year. The Tartans are now 1-1 against Berry.
  • The Tartans' win against Berry marks the first against a ranked opponent this season.
