Khia Kurtenbach Wins NCAA Midwest Regional; Maroons Finish Third

From University of Chicago Athletics

Khia Kurtenbach came away as the individual women's regional champion to highlight the University of Chicago's efforts at the 2016 NCAA Division III Cross Country Midwest Regional on Saturday.

Saturday featured a rematch of the top two runners in the University Athletic Association (UAA). Two weeks ago at the conference championships, WashU's Aly Wayne won the title by 22 seconds while Kurtenbach was runner-up. This time around, Kurtenbach turned the tables to win by nearly two seconds over Wayne in a time of 21:41.22.
