Maroons Win Benedictine Invitational Title

The University of Chicago women's cross country team earned a team victory at the Benedictine University Eagle Invitational on Friday.

UChicago's women finished first of 20 teams with 48 points scored. North Central College was second with 71 points.

All told, five of the UChicago women placed in the top 15 to run away with the trophy. Junior Taylor Campos led the way at St. James Farm as she took fifth in the 6K race with a time of 23:18.0. Sophomore Annika Hildebrandt was a top 10 finisher, placing ninth in 23:46.7. The other top runners included first-year Hannah Zheng (11th), first-year Catherine Skubiz (13th) and sophomore Sophia Smith (15th).
