Case Western Reserve University junior Grace Jackson and first-year Ashley Novak each claimed All-Region honors for the Spartans at the 2022 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region Championship meet, hosted by Hope College on Saturday at the Three Fires Golf Club in Holland, Michigan.

Jackson and Novak ran close together on Saturday, with Jackson placing 34th out of 245 total runners with a career-best time of 22:21.6 in the 6K race, and Novak adding a career-best time of 22:27.1 to place 35th overall. It was the first all-region honor for each and was the first time this season that Jackson has been the team's top finisher in a race.

Despite entering the meet shorthanded with just five runners, CWRU was able to place 10th out of 34 teams at the meet, totaling 274 points, behind the strong performances from Jackson and Novak. John Carroll won the meet with a score of 81, followed by Calvin in second place with 106 points, and Hope in third with 127.

Senior Julia Kocherzat added a 43rd-place finish with a time of 22:39.3, while junior Jessica Kwasny was 81st with a mark of 23:16.5, and senior Melissa Phung was 83rd with a time of 23:18.8. All three times were career-best marks.
