Griffins Fly Past Principia, Fall to WashU

ELSAH, Ill. - The Fontbonne University men's basketball team defeated Principia College on Thursday night, 90-51, and then fell to Washington University (Mo.), this Saturday afternoon, 96-75. The Griffins move to 8-3 on the season and 3-1 in SLIAC play.

21 - Ethan Chartrand led the floor with 21 points, going 10-for-18 from the field. He had three boards, three steals, and two blocks. 

14 - Elijah Rice scored 14 points. He also had six rebounds and two assists.

13 - Charles Nelson totaled 13 points. He also added three rebounds. 

12 - Cheikh Thiam had 12 points. 

10 - Brent Wagner added 10 points. He also had six rebounds and two steals.

19 - Grant Hastings led the Griffins with 19 points. He went 8-from-11 from the field and 3-for-5 from the three-point line. 

12 - Brent Wagner added 12 points (5-10 FG, 2-6 3PT).

10 - Adam Painter scored 10 points, with five field goals. 

8 - Both Ethan Chartrand and Charles Nelson each scored eight points. 

7 - Jordan Lewis had seven points. 

5 - Elijah Rice dished in five assists. Adam Painter pulled down five boards. 

Fontbonne shot 56 percent from the field (29-52), 42 percent from the three point line (8-19), and 82 percent from the free-throw line (9-11).
