Men's soccer topped by Washington-St. Louis 3-0

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's soccer team fell behind 2-0 in the first half and did not recover in a 3-0 loss to Washington-St. Louis on Monday night at Francis Field.

The Bears pushed a goal past the Panthers in the 28th minute and added another tally in the 40th minute.

Just two minutes into the second half, Washington scored their final goal.

The Panthers encountered a challenging match, being outshot 26-2 while allowing 10 corner kicks.

Goalkeeper David Quijano earned the start and had five saves in nearly 70 minutes. Gerardo Lopez entered the match in the 20th minutes and collected one save.

The Panthers compiled two shots in the match - one from Othon Chavez and other shot by Pablo Valverde.

The Panthers (3-5) go to Eureka for a SLIAC match on Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m.
