MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon baseball team put together nine hits but lost to third-ranked Emory University 6-0 on Saturday.
Huntingdon (8-4) fell to the Eagles 4-1 in the first game of the series on Friday night. Huntingdon will close out the series at Emory on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Emory (8-2) scored three runs in the first two innings on Saturday and added three more runs in the final three innings. Hans Hansen (3-0) earned the win, striking out seven and giving up eight hits in eight innings. In 21 innings this seasons, Hansen has yet to allow a run.
Zach McGrady (2-2) took the loss for Huntingdon. McGrady struck out seven, allowed eight hits and gave up two earned runs in five innings.
Designated hitter Jordan Criswell was 3-for-3 and was the only Hawk with multiple hits.
