NYU freshman Darren Yen won two of three bouts in the sabre as the Violets defeated top-ranked and defending NCAA champion Columbia University on Wednesday. He also finished ninth in a field of nearly 300 competitors at the USA Fencing Junior Olympic Championships in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday.
