Emory Men's Golf Claims Fifth Consecutive UAA Championship

The No. 1 ranked Emory University men's golf team won its fifth consecutive UAA Championship on Sunday with its 3-2 defeat of No. 20 ranked New York University. The championship match was played on the 6,776-yard, par-72 Conservatory Course at the Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, FL.

The Eagles won three out of their five match-ups in the match-play format contest against the Violets. This marks the Eagles 20th UAA Championship as senior Logan Ryan, freshman Tony Li and sophomore Michael Rosenbloom each pulled through with victories on Sunday. Below are the results from the match-play competition:

  3. Joseph Burlison (N) defeated Davis Hingtgen (E)                2 & 1
  4. Michael Rosenbloom (E) defeated Jorge Montero (N)        5 & 4
  5. Robbie Keyes (N) defeated Max Schwarz (E)                      4 & 3

Emory saw three golfers named to the six-person UAA All-Tournament team following the two-day tournament: Ryan, Liu and Rosenbloom. Will Knauth of Carnegie Mellon was named the championship's MVP.
