The New York University men's golf team is in fourth place after the first round of the Saratoga National Invitational, which was held at the Saratoga National Golf Club in Saratoga Springs, NY, on Saturday.
The Violets are only four shots off the lead having totaled 299.
Joseph Burlison (Salinas, CA/Palma) and Chris Lee (Palisades Park, NJ/Bergen Catholic) both shot two-over par 74 for NYU and are tied for eighth place after the first round.
"Despite not playing to their expectations, we held it together and are certainly in contention for tomorrow," said Head Coach Katie Rudolph. "We will play the par 5's smarter tomorrow and are due for some putts to drop, too."
