Top-Ranked Emory Men's Golf Earns Bid to NCAA Championships

From Emory University Athletics

The No. 1 ranked Emory University men's golf team is headed to the NCAA championship for the seventh consecutive time after earning one of the final nine at-large bids.

The Eagles will be one of the 43 teams vying for this year's national championship after receiving the lone Pool B at-large bid. Pool B selection consists of independent institutions and institutions that are members of conferences that do not meet the requirements for automatic qualification. This will be Emory's 25th overall appearance at the NCAA Championships in program history and looking to improve upon last year's fifth place showing.

The 2023 NCAA championship is set to take place May 16-19 at Keene Trace Golf Club, in Nicholasville, Kentucky and will be hosted by Transylvania University. The team and individual champions will be determined after 72 holes of play or the conclusion of the last fully completed round. After 36 holes of competition, the field will be cut to the top 18 teams and top six individuals not on one of those teams.
