Emory Blanks NYU to Move into UAA Championship

The Emory University men's golf team defeated the NYU Violets 4-0-1 in the first round of the UAA Championships of the match-play event on Saturday afternoon. The first round was played on the 6,770-yard, par-72 Harbor Hills Country Club course in Lady Lake, Florida.

Competing under the match-play format, the No. 3 ranked Eagles, who came into the UAA tournament having drawn the first overall seed, pulled out a convincing victory over the Violets. Sophomore Tony Li, junior Jackson Klutznick and sophomore Michael Burry all pulled out resounding victories concluding each of their individual matches with three or more holes left to play.
