Violets Tie for Ninth at Hershey Cup

New York University's men's golf team played the second and final round of the Hershey Cup on Monday at the Hershey Country Club East Course in Hershey, PA.

The Violets tied for ninth place out of 15 teams with a two-day total of 636, equaling with Allegheny College. Eighth-place Gettysburg College was just three strokes better while RPI won the competition with a score of 608.

Kevin Kim was NYU's top performer as he claimed a top-five finish, tying for fifth individually after shooting a one-over 72 today (152 total). This was an eight-stroke improvement over the opening round as he climbed 24 places on the strength of a trio of birdies on the front nine.

Charles Hsieh also landed among the top 20, carding a 77 today for a two-round total of 155 which tied for 16th. Ryan Leung was NYU's third finisher, tying for 45th after shooting 80 today for a 162 overall.

Rohan Aerrabolu (t-64th, 167) and Ishaan Shroff (t-72nd, 171) also competed for the Violets.
