Emory Earns Top Seed for This Weekend's UAA Men's Golf Championship

Third-ranked Emory University earned the top seed for the 2023 UAA Men's Golf Championship this weekend at the Harbor Hills Country Club in Lady Lake, Florida.

The Eagles have won each of the past five Association titles over the past seven years. No championship was held in 2020 or 2021 due to COVID-19. University of Rochester was the last team other than the Eagles to capture the UAA title in 2015.

The top-seeded Eagles will face fourth-seeded NYU in one semifinal on Saturday, while second-seeded and fifth-ranked Carnegie Mellon University plays third-seeded Rochester in the other semifinal. The winners will face off for the UAA title on Sunday, while the other two teams will play for third place.

The format is 18-hole tournament match play conducted among the participating teams. Teams consist of five players. Each twosome match is worth one point and shall be played until a team winner is determined, when the first team reaches three points.
