University of Chicago's top-ranked men's soccer program celebrated its 2022 Men's Soccer National Championship in style with a 4-1 victory over UW-Eau Claire on Saturday afternoon.

The Maroons honored the members of the 2022 National Championship team pregame with a ceremony, featuring the presentation of commemorative rings to the group. Although UChicago fell behind 1-0 early, another strong offensive effort resulted in four unanswered goals and a 4-1 win in its home opener.

Robbie Pino provided the equalizer in the 38th minute to knot the score at 1-all into the halftime break. Danny Mendoza broke the deadlock in the 70th minute, scoring on an assist from Ryan Yetishefsky. The Maroons surged forward from that point as Jack Leuker netted in the 76th minute and Evan Kanellos scored his first UChicago goal in the 84th to secure the result for the Maroons.
