University of Chicago's top-ranked men's soccer program battled to a 2-2 draw with No. 8 Gustavus Adolphus on the road on Sunday.

The Maroons responded from an early 1-0 deficit with a goal midway through the first half to level the game at 1-all at halftime. UChicago then scored early into the second half before the Gusties answered a short time later. Both sides fought to find the winner to the end of the match, but strong goalkeeping sealed the 2-2 final score in a rematch of the 2022 NCAA Regional Final.

Robbie Pino found the equalizing goal in the 25th minute on assists from Kai Walsh and Ryan Yetishefsky following Gustavus' fifth minute goal to open the match. After halftime, Danny Mendoza netted his first career UChicago goal in the 57th minute, assisted by Nathan Moonesinghe, to give the Maroons a 2-1 advantage.

Just eight minutes later, the Gusties found an equalizer of their own in the 65th minute. UChicago racked up 19 shots, 13 on goal. Will Boyes stopped seven shots in the Maroon goal, playing a full 90 minutes.
