Washington University in St. Louis senior Nick Matteucci was selected as the 2020 Division III Men's Cross Country and Track & Field Academic All-America of the Year to headline eight Academic All-America selections for Washington University in St. Louis, as announced Tuesday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

This marks the 10th-straight year the program has had an Academic All-America selection and increased its total to 63 (37 women; 26 men).

"This is the highest honor awarded and I can't think of a more fitting ambassador for WashU or NCAA Division III. The best part for me is that Nick is an even greater young man, than a student athlete," said WashU head coach Jeff Stiles. "I love him like a son, so this award is more special to me than I can even articulate. The entire WashU community should be swelling with pride."
