The Brandeis University indoor track and field teams opened their 2022-23 seasons today with a pair of meets in Boston. Most of the team competed at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, while a handful of runners were at Boston University.
The men finished in sixth place in the team standings at Suffolk with 35 points, first among D3 schools.
SCORING PERFORMANCES
- 4x400m relay (Leo Schiappa, TJ Showstead, Whalen, Young Wang) – 2nd place (3:40.49)
- Ori Slotky, triple jump – 3rd place (11.77m / 38-7 ½)
- Dion Morris-Evans, 60m hurdles – 6th place (8.80 seconds / 8.87 seconds in prelims); high jump - 4th place, (1.90m / 6-2 ¾)
- Dylan Whalen, 1000m – 5th place (2:45.60)
- Lin Lin Hutchinson, triple jump – 5th place (11.30m / 37-1)
- Danny Krigman, 60m – 7th place (7.22 seconds / 7.20 seconds in prelims)
- Zachary Reynolds, 35# weight throw – 7th place (12.65m / 41-6)
- Jonathan Hau, 35# weight throw – 8th place (11.68 / 38-4)

- Samuel Kim, mile – 27th place (4:40.96)
