From Brandeis University Athletics

The Brandeis University indoor track and field teams opened their 2022-23 seasons today with a pair of meets in Boston. Most of the team competed at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, while a handful of runners were at Boston University.

The men finished in sixth place in the team standings at Suffolk with 35 points, first among D3 schools.

SCORING PERFORMANCES

• 4x400m relay (Leo Schiappa, TJ Showstead, Whalen, Young Wang) – 2^nd place (3:40.49)
• Ori Slotky, triple jump – 3^rd place (11.77m / 38-7 ½)
• Dion Morris-Evans, 60m hurdles – 6^th place (8.80 seconds / 8.87 seconds in prelims); high jump - 4^th place, (1.90m / 6-2 ¾)
• Dylan Whalen, 1000m – 5^th place (2:45.60)
• Lin Lin Hutchinson, triple jump – 5^th place (11.30m / 37-1)
• Danny Krigman, 60m – 7^th place (7.22 seconds / 7.20 seconds in prelims)
• Zachary Reynolds, 35# weight throw – 7^th place (12.65m / 41-6)
• Jonathan Hau, 35# weight throw – 8^th place (11.68 / 38-4)
