The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team finished play at the 2023 NCAA Division III Championship on Friday in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. The Tartans placed fourth after a 54-hole score of 947.

How it Happened:

  • Sophomore Sriya Mupparaju shot her second round of three-over par 76 for the championships Friday and finished with a 234 (76-82-76).
  • Senior Alexis Sudjianto also ended the 54-hole championships with a 234 (79-77-78).
  • Mupparaju and Sudjianto tied for 13th individually in a field of 151 golfers.
  • Sophomore Reeya Vasishta finished the championships by carding her best round of the event over the final 18 holes of a five-over par 78. The sophomore recorded a 54-hole score of 241. (80-83-78)
  • Sophomore Kaylin Yeoh ended the event with a 246 (84-79-83).
  • On Friday, junior Denise Pan recorded her best round of the championships when she entered the clubhouse with a three-over par 76 and ended with a 247 (89-82-76).

Notes:

  • It's the second straight year the Tartans finished fourth at the NCAA Championships.
  • The Tartans have competed in four NCAA Championships in the eight seasons of the program. In all four appearances the Cardinal and Gray have placed within in the top five; 2018 (5th), 2021 (2nd), 2022 (4th) and 2023 (4th).
