The No. 3 Washington University in St. Louis golf team took second at the Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling, hosted by Illinois Wesleyan. The Bears carded a two-day score of 606, behind St. Kate's which won with a 601.
The Bears were led by sophomore Sydney Kuo, who shot a 74 on day two for a two-day score of 146, which tied for first overall with IWU's Macy Ludwig.
Athena Nguyen finished tied for 10th with a two-day score of 153 (76, 66) while Caraline Oakley finished tied for 14th with a 154 (76, 78).
McKensey Kaseta tied for 16th overall with a 155 (77, 78) and Annie Mascot tied for 18th with a 156 (75, 81).
The Bears also had four players golfing as individuals.
Tiffany Chan finished 20th with a 157 (79, 78) while Krystina Wilson finished tied for 21st with a 158 (80, 78). Paige Warren finished tied for 35 with a 163 (79, 84) and Gwynnie Lee finished tied for 66th with a 171 (83, 88).
