Bears Seventh After First Day of Jekyll Island Invitational

The No. 4 Washington University in St. Louis golf team is in seventh following day one of the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational. The Bears carded a team score of 308 in the first round on the 5,606 yard, par 72 course.
 
Sydney Kuo led the Bears with a first-round score of 70, two below par, and sits in second place. Tiffany Chan carded a 78 and is tied for 28th while McKensey Kaseta shot a 79 and is tied for 36th.
 
Caraline Oakley shot an 81 and is tied for 57th while Annie Mascot registered an 83 and is tied for 77th.
 
The Bears have several players competing as individuals. Gwynnie shot an 80 on round one and is second on the individual leaderboard while both Emmy Sammons and Krystina Wilson shot an 83 and are tied for seventh.
