The New York University wrestling team completed its competition at the NWCA National Duals in Louisville, KY, on Saturday, January 7.
NYU opened on Saturday against the University of Mount Union.
The Violets trailed after the first five bouts, but won the final five to secure their first victory at the Duals.
Four of NYU's victories came via fall, with two others earned by forfeit and one by decision:

Despite dropping the first four bouts, the Violets recovered to win the next five and hold on for the victory.

"I'm really impressed with the way the guys responded after losing two tough matches yesterday," said Associate Head Coach Corey Luce. "Ken Sherman wrestled up two weight classes and got us started against Cortland. And Gabe (Rodrigues) returned to the team and had a great couple of days."
