Rochester Nets Eighth-Place Finish at Inter-Regional Rumble

Led by two Top 50 finishers in a field of 282, University of Rochester women's cross country finished eighth among 32 competing teams at the Inter-Regional Rumble, hosted by Oberlin College.
 
Lisa Pink led the way for UR with a 26th-place finish with her time of 23:06.6, moving up four spots over the final leg of the race.
 
Kat Benninger joined Pink in the Top 50 in 46th place with her 23.28.9 time, while Sennett Turner finished just outside the Top 50, coming in at 52nd with her 23:33.5 time.
 
Rounding out the Yellowjackets' top five, Alicia Lawson earned a 78th-place finish with her time of 24:04.4, while Rachel Dennis ran a 24.05.5, good for 79th place.
 
Alissa Beam and Sabrina Terando then came in 117th and 120th, respectively, with times of 24:46.0 and 24:48.9, with Meredith Crockett just outside the Top 120 in 122nd at 25:51.1
 
The 'Jackets finished eighth with 275 points, three points ahead of ninth-place Wittenberg. John Carroll took home the team title with four top-20 finishers for a total of 70 points, while Baldwin Wallace's Hope Murphy took home the individual title with her time of 21:54.5, more than 10 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.
 
Three Yellowjackets also earned Top 50 finishes in the Women's 6K Open race, with Kyra Sandercock coming in 37th with a time of 25:09.9, and Kelley Foley and Morgan Bremer right behind her in 41st and 42nd place, respectively, with times of 25:21.6 and 25:21.9.
