On Saturday, the New York University tenth-ranked men's swimming team brought their season to a close at the NCAA National Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina.

With 11 Nationals qualifiers, seven First Team and six Second Team All-Americans, and one program record, the Violets finished their meet in 13th place with 132 points.

Second-ranked Emory University won the meet with 532 points while first-ranked Kenyon College was second (495.50 points).

Connor Vincent and Thomas Pritchard secured two First Team All-American podium finishes in the 1650 freestyle. Vincent touched in 15:19.50 to place third in the final event of his second collegiate Nationals, improving from his fourth-place finish in the event last year.

Swimming the last race of his career, Pritchard placed sixth in 15:28.47 to wrap up a college resumé that includes a sixth-place 500 freestyle at the 2023 Nationals, third in the 500 and 1650 freestyle at the 2022 Nationals, and three University Athletic Association (UAA) Champion titles (500 in 2023, 1650 in 2022 and 2020).

Leo Han ended his first Nationals with a second consolation final victory, this time in the 200 backstroke. Competing in the tenth race of his meet, he recorded 1:47.02, just one-tenth off his team record set at the Bruno Invitational in December.

"The team put up great swims and a lot of personal bests," Head Coach Trevor Miele said. "A lot of the team will be returning next year, so it's great to have that experience to build on. We had a really good meet and I'm proud of the swimmers. They never gave up and kept working hard to continue to get better."

The 2022-23 season has been historic for the Violets. In one year, the team broke six program records: Han in the 100 butterfly (47.33), 200 butterfly (1:46.33), and 200 backstroke (1:46.92), Vincent in the 500 freestyle (4:23.65) and 1000 freestyle (9:13.53), and the 200 medley relay consisting of Han, James YanAjay Watanakun, and David Basin (1:29.15).
