From Emory University Athletics

The Emory University track & field team closed out the Berry Field Day Invitational with a number of strong performances in Rome, Georgia on Saturday.

The 4x100m relay team of sophomore Sam Ryba, senior Tommy Davis, freshman Henry Brandstadter and sophomore Jackson Price turned in a time of 41.22 seconds to take home the gold medal in the event. Their time of 41.22 seconds stands as the second fastest time in program history and is the 11th fastest time in Division III this season which puts them in nationals contention as the end of the regular season draws near.

Price also competed in the 100m dash where he logged a time of 10.81 seconds, his third race with a time in the top ten in program history, which placed him ninth at the meet. On the field, freshman Steven Ditelberg had his best day in an Eagles uniform as he reached a height of 4.47m in the pole vault which is the eighth best mark in program history. Senior Michael Tiffin placed seventh in the shot put after launching a distance of 13.12m, which is the top distance for an Eagle this season.
