Kirby Knapp of WashU Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

Washington University in St. Louis senior volleyball setter Kirby Knapp was named to the 2020-21 NCAA Division III Academic All-District Five Volleyball Team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). 

Knapp started 77 of 92 matches played in her career, appearing in 322 sets and recording 2,861 assists for an average of 8.89 per game. Her total assists in three seasons ranks her 10th in WashU program history.

At the end of the 2020 season, she ranked 16th  in the country with 881 total assists and 27th with 9.9 assists per set.

Knapp was an Honorable Mention and Second Team All-University Athletic Association (UAA) selection in the 2019 and 2020 seasons and a three-time Academic All-UAA honoree. She graduated with a 3.78 grade point average with a degree in psychology.

To be eligible for nomination to the Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA, and must be a starter or an important reserve.
